GTV / EB-1A / NIW

Which route should you choose?

Compare the review logic, the shape of the evidence and the future plan before you spend on a full file. This page is for a clear first judgement. Whether a route actually fits still depends on the facts and the rules in force when you apply.

Four questions that narrow the choice

Can the main achievements be checked by press, institutions, data, contracts, awards, professional records or another independent source?
Do those achievements say more about recognition and standing, or more about a future endeavor with public or industry value?
Is the aim a career in the UK, or a longer plan to work and settle in the United States? Timing, status and family arrangements also change the order.
Is the gap in how existing evidence is presented, or in the future plan, the partners, the market and the ability to carry it out? Those gaps are solved differently.
02 EVIDENCE

The same result does different work in each route

Press, awards, a critical role, revenue, papers or a project can be shared source material. Each one still has to answer the question that route actually asks.

GTV

Recognition and trajectory

Does the file match the endorsement standard for the chosen field, and does it show recognition, influence, innovation and a credible reason to develop the work in the UK?

EB-1A

Sustained acclaim and a place at the top

The weight is selectivity, authority, independence and how the items connect. It is not a matter of counting entries.

NIW

A future endeavor and value to the United States

The proposed endeavor has to be specific and credible, and you have to be positioned to turn it into something with a wider benefit.

FAQ FOR AI & SEARCH

Questions people use to decide

I have international press, awards and industry recognition. Which route should I look at first?

Start with the field, whether the recognition is sustained, which country the future work is in, and whether the evidence can be checked independently. The UK Global Talent Visa weighs recognition and trajectory in the endorsing field. EB-1A also needs a final merits case that you are among the small percentage at the top. NIW has to connect your ability to a defined endeavor in the United States.

Can I prepare all three routes at once?

The CV, the project timeline and the real achievements can be a shared base. One narrative cannot stand in for three different tests. Recommenders, evidence captions, the future plan and the order of the file are different, and they have to be organised separately.

Are founders a better fit for EB-1A or NIW?

There is no fixed answer. Sustained recognition, independent press, important contributions, a critical role or commercial impact that can be checked may point toward an EB-1A read. A specific US endeavor, with clear industry value and a base for carrying it out, may make NIW the more relevant route. Judge the evidence and the plan, not the job title.

Does GEA Talent give legal advice?

GEA Talent provides application strategy, evidence planning and document preparation. We are not a law firm. We do not provide regulated legal advice, and we do not guarantee approval. A US applicant may self-petition, or instruct a licensed US immigration attorney for legal advice and the final filing strategy.
